Aden-een, The Shell Fireworks Parade

Friday 27th October 2017

Join a celebration of culture and community in the beautiful surrounds of Aden Country Park as young people bursting with energy and enthusiasm create an extravaganza of delight.

The Shell Fireworks Parade, now in its ninth year brings together and engages hundreds of participants from across Aberdeenshire, giving young people real and transferable skills and experiences as they create routines, props and performances for the big event.

Over the years, the project has helped people into jobs, training and college courses. It has encouraged hundreds of young people to engage in something positive and to gain accreditation for their achievements. It has brought real personal and social benefits for participants and the community.

Live music, projections, and a range of food stalls will also be available before and after the main parade and Fireworks display in the ruins of the old Aden Estate mansion house. In addition the Aden Craft & Gift Shop and the Café at Aden will be open on the night serving hot food, tea and coffee, along with a range of scary merchandise from the shop.

To help relieve traffic congestion please either walk, arrive early, or leave plenty of time for parking.

Please wrap up warm for a wild night in the woods. Bring fancy dress, lanterns, torches, wellies and a sense of adventure.

Modo is committed to ensuring the event can be enjoyed safely by the whole community. We continue to receive huge support from Shell and others, without which this event would not be possible, but as the audience grows and the number of young people increases, so do the costs of creating the event and keeping it safe.
