Halloween Fantasmagoria at Aden
A flabbergasting festival of fire, fantoms, and frights is to be held in depths of Aden Country Park, Mintlaw. A spooky parade of ghosts, skeletons and zombies will walk through the eerie woods of Aden Country Park. The haunting Halloween event will be held on Saturday 30th October, 7pm, starting from the courtyard area in front of the Aberdeenshire Farming Museum.
If you’re brave enough, join us for our family fright fest. You will be encouraged to join the parade deep into the creepy woods of Aden, but beware, you will not be alone! A haunting host of fiendish fantoms will accompany you around every corner.
The Halloween extravaganza will come to a close with a fiery finale in the ruins of the old Aden Estate mansion house, closely followed by music by local Mintlaw band “Streets of Ash” and other bands from the music project.
Fantasmagoria is an event run by Theatre Modo. Over the past 6 weeks, Theatre Modo has been working with over 400 young people from Fraserburgh, Mintlaw and Peterhead. Groups have created routines with stilt walking, fire, circus, dance and street theatre. Behind the scenes others have also made giant skeleton puppets, ghost ships & eerie lanterns which will be used in the parade.
The Fantasmagoria Halloween event in Aden Country Park is brought to you by the Theatre Modo team that created Macphersons Rant in Banff in 2008, The Whitehills Gala Parade and Pandemonium, the Peterhead Pirate Parade in 2009 and the Electric Wizard of Macduff in 2010. Fantasmagoria has been made possible by working in partnership and funded by Shell, Awards for All, ADP,Reaching Out Project, Williowbank, Aberdeenshire Council Community Learning and Development, and the Aberdeenshire Community Planning Partnership.
