Focus on Aden at BDP Forum

Buchan Development Partnership’s Annual General Meeting and Autumn Forum (sponsored by Shell) will be held on the Thursday 30th September in the Stuartfield Public Hall, Burnett Street, Stuartfield starting at 7.30pm.  The topic for the evening is Aden Country Park, Mintlaw.

Neil Shirran, Development Worker at Aden Country Park will be the main speaker for the evening. Neil has been recently appointed to produce a 5 year strategic plan for the Aden Country Park looking at how best to promote, regenerate, and make Aden Country Park more sustainable for future generations.

Neil said “I’m looking forward to the forum event. It will give me a chance to meet with the local community to discuss how we can maximise the use of Aden Country Park, and build on the Park’s reputation as being the hidden jewel in Buchan’s tourism crown”.

“We are also looking for people who have an interested in Aden Country Park and want to get involved in shaping its future. We plan to form a Friends of Aden Country Park group so if you are keen to get involved the forum is the first opportunity to register your interest”.

Dawn Brodie, Development Officer with Buchan Development Partnership added “our Forums are open for anyone to attend - if you’ve never been to one before why not come along to this one – as well as a learning about the Aden Country Park developments,   there is an opportunity to chat with other community representatives and learn what’s going on in other areas of Buchan over refreshments.”
