Aden Country Park Making New Friends
Would you like to make new friends? Or simply be involved in helping to enhance and protect your local facilities and environment? If the answer is yes, perhaps your 2012 New Year resolution should be to join the Friends of Aden Country Park.
The inaugural meeting of the Friends of Aden Country Park is to be held on Thursday 26th January, 7pm, at the Kemp Hall in Old Deer.
The main aim of developing the Friends of Aden Country Park is to provide local residents with an opportunity to get involved with various aspects in Aden Country Park.
Friends can either volunteer on site, or equally from home in other ways. There are a wide range of activities and projects that Friends could be involved with, including practical tasks like improving footpaths, tree planting, cleaning and painting buildings; helping organising events, activities and performances; marketing and promotion; fundraising; or helping in the museum.
Neil Shirran, Aden Country Park, Development Officer said:
“Becoming a Friend of Aden Country Park is a great way of getting to know some like-minded people who are keen to help improve their much loved local Park”
If you think you might want to get involved and perhaps have either some spare time or a skill to offer, please feel free to join us for a cuppa and chat. Everyone is welcome.
