Aden Allotments Project Holds Inaugural AGM
The Aden Country Park allotments and community garden project is to hold its inaugural annual general meeting (AGM) on Tuesday 4th September, at 6.30pm, in the award winning Aberdeenshire Farming Museum.
Following the positive results of the recent public consultation, support from Aberdeenshire Council, and the development of the Aden Allotments & Community Gardens Report, it has been decided to go ahead with the development of allotments and community gardens in the grounds of Aden Country Park.
The focus of the inaugural AGM is to assign roles and responsibilities of the Aden Allotments & Community Gardens Group and to sign the newly developed constitution. In addition representative from the Stonehaven Allotments Association will attend the meeting, providing valuable insights into their recently developed Stonehaven Allotments.
The meeting is open to the public, and everyone is welcome. If you are simply interested in finding out more, or want to get involved in helping develop the Aden Allotments and Community Gardens site then we happy to have you along.

“It's a really exciting project, we’ve had a great response to the idea of developing allotments and community gardens in Aden Country Park and it's really encouraging that we have a passionate, friendly group of people who want to develop the site in Aden. The idea is that the land will be leased out by Aberdeenshire Council to what will be the Aden Community Allotment Association who will then manage the site for the benefit of the community".
