Aden Attractions Open for 2015 Season
The Aden Country Park visitor attractions including the award-winning Aberdeenshire Farming Museum, Caravan & Camping Park, Café at Aden, and Craft & Gift Shop have all opened their doors for the new 2015 season.
While the Aberdeenshire Farming Museum & Hareshowe Farm bring to life the story of the NE Scotland farming past, the Aden Craft & Gift Shop offers visitors a unique shopping experience with a wide selection of locally made arts and crafts, including cards, bags, scarfs, and jewellery as well as a range of books, music, souvenirs, and children's toys, all at fair prices.
The Café at Aden, now operated by local business partnership, Joanna and Noel Gall, of "The Lodge", Strichen, offers a menu to suit all tastes. Following modernisation the café now has a country-chic feel, offering a delicious selection of light lunches, home baking and hot and cold drinks.
For those who want to stay, Aden also offers a uniform group campsite and fully serviced four-star Aden Caravan & Camping Park. With the range of facilities and activities on offer it’s easy to see why the site is so popular.
Along with these seasonal attractions Aden also offers a range of perminant facilities including the children’s play area, picnic and BBQ sites, walks and trials, SANDS and carers/sensory gardens, outdoor gym, dog agility and exercise area, horse arena, and bridleway, all set in the beautiful open parkland and woodlands areas of Aden Country Park.
Neil Shirran, Aden Development Worker said:
“We are delighted to see all the Aden Park attractions open again for another season. Not only does Aden provide a great place to shop, eat and enjoy our local heritage, it also offers the space for an enjoyable walk, picnic, or BBQ in beautiful surroundings, or simply an area for the kids run off steam at the children’s play area.
Our very popular annual events, dog agility area, Victorian arboretum and ruined mansion house also create a great deal of interest. So if you fancy a enjoying day out in the heart of Buchan why not visit Aden Country Park today.”
