Orienteering Courses

Aden Country Park has Permanent Orienteering Courses available to visitors, providing a chance to practise navigation, develop fitness, or generally have fun outdoors! It's entirely up to you how you get from point to point - whether you run, walk or stumble around with the kids and dog, having a picnic en route.

Outdoor Gym

With an ever-increasing mountain of research on the importance of exercise in brain development in children, concentration in adults and the fight against obesity, Aden has installed an outdoor gym to encourage kids and adults to have fun exercising.

Formartine & Buchan Way

The Formartine and Buchan Way (F&B Way) is a 54 mile off-road route linking Dyce with Ellon, Maud, Fraserburgh and Peterhead. The F&B Way skirts the northern edge of Aden Country Park and Aden can be the starting point for visitors to explore the line.

Tree Trail

As an estate, Aden was home to a wide variety of trees, both native and exotic. Over 200 years later, some of these original trees, both conifer and broadleaf, can be found in Aden Country Park. Selections of these trees form the popular Tree Trail.

Walking/Cycling/Jogging

Aden Country Park in Aberdeenshire offers an extensive network of well-maintained footpaths offering short, medium and long walking, jogging, or cycle routes for everyone to enjoy. Aden also offers access to the long distance Formartine & Buchan Way.
