The main aim of the Friends of Aden is to provide local people with an opportunity to be involved with, and have a greater say in, Aden Country Park, and how it is developed.
Formed in 2012, the Friends work alongside the various Aberdeenshire Council services and other community partners, to help preserve, protect, and enhance the facilities and environment of Aden Country Park, creating a place that is safe for everyone to enjoy.
The Friends group acts as the catalyst that pulls the local community together to achieve goals based on the opinions and feedback suggested by the users and visitors to the park.
Along with a wide range of other activities, the Friends of Aden work in partnership with Buchan Day Opportunities on the running the Aden Craft & Gift Shop. Another key element the Friends deliver are the regular Music at Aden events.
