Book a Visit

If you are part of a school or community group and would like to visit Aden Country Park, there are three main choices available to you:

1. Book an area of the park you want for your activity e.g. picnic, BBQ etc
2. Arrange a visit to the Aberdeenshire Farming Museum
3. Book a Countryside Ranger Service School and Group Session

1. Book an Area of the Park

If your school or community group wants to use an area of the park, please contact our events booking team on: event.bookings@aberdeenshire.gov.uk describing who you are, your school/group name, what your event/activity is, what area of the park you want to book, what date and times you require the area, and any other relevant information.

Once you have submitted your request, one of our team will get in touch and confirm your request. Please note your booking is not confirmed until a member of the team has been in contact with you.

If you aren’t part of a school or community group but still want to hire an area in Aden for a public or private event, don’t worry, you can still book by contacting our events booking team on: event.bookings@aberdeenshire.gov.uk

2. Arrange a Visit to the Farming Museum

If your school or community group is interested in reliving the story of Aberdeenshire’s colourful farming past, why not visit to the Aberdeenshire Farming Museum. Set in the unique, semi-circular home farm steading, located in the central courtyard, the museum describes the farming story with themes including: The Aden Estate Story, The Horseman’s House and Weel Vrocht Grun. The museum also features the 1950’s Hareshowe Farm.

The Aberdeenshire Farming Museum is open annually from April to October. The opening times are Thursday to Sunday from 11am to 3.30pm.

3. Book a Ranger Service School or Group Session

The Countryside Ranger Service offer support to schools, colleges, universities, and other organised groups to access, understand and enjoy our natural and cultural heritage. We welcome bookings from organised groups where there is a common theme or shared interest.

How to request a session

If you would like to book a session, please complete our online form. Forms can be found on the Aberdeenshire Council website page:

Once your form has been received the Ranger will get in touch and confirm your request. Please note your session is not confirmed until the ranger has been in contact with you.
