Opening Times

Although the park itself is open 24-7, 365 days a year, some of the facilities within the park e.g. the Aberdeenshire Farming Museum, Café at Aden, Caravan & Camping Site, or the Craft & Gift Shop, all have different opening times. Please visit the Opening Times section to find out more.

Arriving at Aden

Following the guidance on our Find Us page to help direct you to the park, once you arrive, there are four carparks to choose from. In general, the two large carparks are the best places for visitors to park. Not only are they close to the main park facilities, but these carparks also have disabled parking bays and are soon to have Electric Vehicle (EV) charging points installed. Please visit the Arriving at Aden section to find out more.

Park Map

On arrival, we recommend the first place to visit is the soon to be completed Visitor Interpretation Centre located in the centre of the courtyard. From here you will be able to find out all about what Aden has to offer, along with being able to pick up a Park Map which will help you to navigate around the various park sites and facilities. Maps are also available online. Please visit the Park Map section to find out more.

Accessibility

Making Aden as accessible to all our visitors is extremely important to us. We have recently upgraded and increased the amount of disabled parking bays, as well as developing a brand-new toilet block which has both disabled, baby changing, and Changing Places toilet facilities. We have also developed a new play area which contains not only DDA compliant play equipment, but also a fully accessible roundabout. Please visit the Accessibility section to find out more.

Local Attractions

The Buchan area, sometimes referred to as “Land of the big sky” is a land steeped in rich culture, heritage, and natural beauty. With one of the highest concentrations of ancient monuments and standing stones in mainland UK, Buchan’s rich history is as unique as its climate; low rainfall and clean air make it ideal for a plethora of outdoor pursuits.
