We have two types of Electric Vehicle (EV) chargers available; these are:
Charging times vary from vehicle to vehicle and may be longer than those quoted as not all vehicles are able to accept charge at the maximum rate that the post can deliver. Please consult your vehicle handbook for details.
There are two locations in Aden Country Park where you can plug into our fast and standard EV chargers. The two fast EV chargers are in the carpark beside the wooden changing places toilet block, not far from the central courtyard area. The two standard EV chargers are in the second larger carpark, further away from the courtyard area, beside the wildlife cabin and secondary toilet block.
The operating system for the EV charger units is run by ChargePlace Scotland. You can become a member of ChargePlace Scotland for £20 per year. On joining, you’ll receive a ChargePlace Scotland card which you swipe across the unit in order to use it. As well as allowing you to use the charging points listed on this page, it will allow you to use any ChargePlace Scotland charge point as well as many others across the UK. If you don’t want to become a member, you can use the points by downloading the ChargePlace Scotland mobile phone app or by phoning ChargePlace Scotland.

From 1st April 2023, the standard rate tariff applied to the electric vehicle charge points will be £0.47 per kW hour. A reduced rate of £0.27 per kW Hour will be available for overnight charging between 8pm and 8am on 7kW standard, and 22kW fast chargers.
If you come across an EV charger with a fault you can report it online. Please note that chargers are managed by Aberdeenshire Council but faults should be directed to ChargePlace Scotland.
